This Privacy Policy explains what personal data CHT Journal (operated by Clear Head Trading, "we"/"us") collects when you use journal.clearheadtrading.com (the "Service"), and how we handle it. It's separate from clearheadtrading.com's own site-visitor privacy policy, which covers browsing our blog, not using this app.
Account data — email address, password (stored hashed, we never see it in plain text), display name/username, timezone.
Trade data you enter — instrument, entry/exit prices and times, position size, R-multiple, P&L, screenshots, setup tags, emotion/confidence/process-score ratings, notes, and any other fields you fill in on a trade.
Review data — your daily/weekly/monthly journaling reflections and ratings, if you use the Reviews feature.
Payment data — handled entirely by Paddle.com, our payment processor and merchant of record. We receive only that a payment succeeded or failed and your subscription status — never your card number or full billing details.
Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service.
We don't run third-party advertising trackers or sell your data to anyone. The only cookies the app itself sets are essential session cookies (via Supabase Auth) needed to keep you signed in.
Trade records and account data are stored in a Postgres database (Supabase, hosted in the EU). Screenshots are stored via Backblaze B2 cloud storage. Payments are processed by Paddle.com. Account emails (password resets, etc.) are sent via our transactional email provider. None of these providers use your data for anything other than providing their service to us.
To provide the Service (storing and displaying your trades), to process payments, to send account-related emails, and to improve the product based on aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.
We share data only with the service providers listed above, strictly to operate CHT Journal. If the leaderboard is enabled and you opt in, your username and win-rate/R-stats become visible to other users — never your raw trade details or P&L.
You can export your full trade history as CSV at any time from Settings, and delete your account, trades, and screenshots yourself from Settings → Danger zone — this is permanent and immediate. For a correction, or anything the self-serve option doesn't cover, email support@clearheadtrading.com. If you're in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection) — the same contact route applies.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your trade data and screenshots within 30 days, except where we're required to keep billing records for tax or legal purposes.
CHT Journal isn't intended for anyone under 18.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
